Due to time restrictions, I managed to walk a small stretch of the Strawberry line earlier today. I joined at Yatton and walked the short 2 miles section to Congresbury. I found this particular part of the old rail line in excellent condition, very flat as to be expected and /5(5). Walks, Historical Walks and Guided Walks - Yatton and the Bristol The Ramblers Association now have a greatly improved website which is an exceptional rescource for all walkers, hykers and young families wanting to go for walks with young children.

Yatton Ramblers is a well established walking group with organised walks on Sundays, every 2 weeks throughout the Yatton walks book. Occasional Wednesday walks are also arranged.

Walks vary from 5 - 7 miles with the some slightly longer walks. A Cream Tea in summer and a Christmas social event are also organised. New members are very. Yatton Ramblers have provided information for this walk card. The route is along the Cheddar Valley Railway Walk, now designated as a nature reserve.

This railway, known as the 'Strawberry Line' because it carried fruit from Cheddar, was opened in from Yatton Junction.
